The Distillers Note
Sloe Gin might be a British tradition, but this one is unmistakably Tasmanian. Since 2012, we've been crafting our Sloe Gin using berries hand-foraged from the back roads and hedgerows, then steeped in McHenry Classic Gin for well over 18 months.
It's become more than a method, it's a ritual. Every harvest, the whole team gathers to collect the fruit, ensuring only the ripest berries make it into the steep. The result? A deeply coloured, fruit-forward Sloe Gin that's rich, complex and has depth.
Winner of Australia's Best Sloe Gin at the 2020 World Gin Awards, this is a gin for all seasons. In winter, mull it gently with cloudy apple juice and sip it by the fire from an enamel mug. In summer, pour it over ice or mix with bubbles for a decadent spritz.
Whichever way you serve it, McHenry Sloe Gin captures Tasmania's wild harvest in a beautifully crafted drop.
